COVID Antibody Tests
If you live north of Salt Lake City, our COVID-19 testing sites in Ogden, Utah, is easy to get to. It’s a drive-up testing site, which is safer, because if you end up testing positive, you will not risk infecting anyone inside the building.
You don’t have to make an appointment for your test, but filling out the paperwork online ahead of time can make the process faster, since you won’t be asked to do it when you arrive at our COVID testing center.
One of the three types of COVID tests we offer in Ogden is the COVID PCR test. Patients get this test if they think they have COVID, whether they are feeling sick or they were exposed to someone who has COVID. Others get this test if they have been traveling or are planning to travel, either to ensure they did not contract COVID while traveling or to prove when they arrive at their destination that they are not infected with COVID.
The test is performed by inserting a swab into your nasal cavity to collect a sample of mucus. This sample is then sent to a lab, and results are available in 48-72 hours. Unless your test is routine, it is best to try to avoid others while you wait for your results in case they are positive.
After the test, you will be given a requisition number to check your results online.
If you think you previously had COVID but were never tested, you can get a COVID antibody test. This test will show whether your body has made antibodies against the COVID virus. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that a positive result should not influence people’s decision about whether to get the vaccine. A previous COVID infection may not prevent you from getting COVID again, or a variant of COVID such as delta or wu.
Be safe and get COVID-19 testing from Advanced Testing Services in Ogden, Utah.
